Storefront and account region

Shadowrocket isn’t available in the mainland China storefront. Whether it appears in App Store search results depends first on the country or region of the Apple ID used for purchases—not your device’s display language, keyboard language, or physical location. This page links to the US storefront listing. When you open it, the App Store may handle the request according to your current account and storefront. Being able to view a web page doesn’t mean you can complete a purchase.

To check your region, open Settings, tap your Apple ID at the top, then go to Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. You may need to authenticate first. Confirm that this is the account you use to buy apps, then check its country or region. Don’t assume the Apple ID shown at the top of Settings is also your purchasing account; they may be different.

To find the region-change setting, go to Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region → Change Country or Region. This is where to find the setting; it doesn’t mean every account can change regions immediately. Your balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing group, and payment details may affect the process. Follow the requirements shown on your device, and consider how a change could affect your existing purchases before proceeding.

If the product page says the app isn’t available in your current storefront, stop repeating the search and check your region using the steps above. For payment or account messages, follow the App Store prompts to review your payment details and account status. Storefront availability, payment completion, and device compatibility are separate steps. Check them in order rather than repeatedly tapping Buy.

Verify the app / before paying

Developer, icon, and app ID

The name helps you find the app; these three details help you verify it. Don’t rely on the name “Shadowrocket” alone when checking search results.

Official Shadowrocket icon: a blue-purple outlined rocket on a white background
Developer
Shadow Launch Technology Limited
App ID
932747118
Product link identifier
id932747118

Open the product page and confirm the app name is Shadowrocket. Then check the developer or seller information for Shadow Launch Technology Limited. The developer name may wrap on a small screen, so view the full name in the page details. Don’t mistake similar wording, descriptive text, or a search ad headline for the developer’s identity.

Second, check the official icon: a blue-purple outlined rocket on a white background, matching the icon shown on this page. The icon can help identify the app, but shouldn’t be your only reason to buy. Third, check the app ID. The id932747118 in the product link corresponds to the number 932747118. The app ID is a more reliable way to identify the product than its display name. If a search result has a similar name but a different ID, return to the product link on this page and check again.

Once all three details match, review the store price, compatibility information, and purchase confirmation. Before paying, confirm the app name and amount; after paying, keep your App Store purchase record. Screenshots can help you find features in the app, but they don’t verify its identity. The interface may vary with the app and device, so every detail doesn’t have to match a static screenshot exactly.

The official screenshot shows Not Connected at the top, indicating the connection status in the screenshot. Global Routing shows Config, Connectivity Test checks the connection, and Add Server under SERVER opens server details management. After installing the app, the list depends on whether you’ve imported your own details. Buying the app doesn’t automatically add a working server.

Type, Host, Port, Password, and Method describe the server type and connection details; don’t guess what to enter based on the screenshot alone. Scan QR Code and Import from Cloud JSON are import options. Before using them, make sure you own the details and trust their source. The fields shown are a guide to the page layout; fields may differ by Type.

Device guide / iPhone

Buying and opening Shadowrocket on iPhone

Open the App Store link on your iPhone and verify the app before buying at the price shown in the store. Check the App Store listing for system requirements. Before purchasing, expand the compatibility details to confirm your device and system version meet the requirements. A page opening in a browser, or the app being available on another device, doesn’t confirm that your iPhone can install it.

If payment is complete but the download hasn’t started, check the App Store progress and messages, then review available storage, network status, and any account items that need attention. You can open the app from your Home Screen once the App Store shows that installation is complete. Purchase confirmation and download progress are handled by the App Store; changing Global Routing or Config in Shadowrocket won’t affect them.

When you first open the app, check whether Home already shows your own server or subscription details. The first time you connect, iOS may ask permission to add a VPN configuration. This allows the client to create a system network configuration. Continue only if you initiated the action, and complete any device verification. Granting permission doesn’t guarantee that your details are valid; connection also depends on your server information, configuration, and current network.

To import your details, continue with the Shadowrocket setup guide. First import a subscription or server details you already have, then check Global Routing: Config follows the configuration, Proxy uses the selected proxy policy, and Direct connects directly. Treat purchase, authorization, and successful connection as separate checks so you can identify what to do next.

Device guide / iPad

Universal purchase and compatibility on iPad

Shadowrocket is a universal purchase for iPhone and iPad. If you bought it on your iPhone, use the same Apple ID for purchases to find the app in your iPad’s App Store purchased items and download it again. You don’t need to buy it separately for the two devices. “Same account” means the account under Media & Purchases, not just the same device owner name shown on both devices.

Before you start, check the account and storefront region on your iPad, then review the compatibility section on the product page. Check the App Store listing for iPad system requirements. If you see a price instead of a redownload option, first check whether the purchase is associated with the current account. If the app is marked incompatible, review the device and system requirements; don’t assume that this means your purchase record is missing.

The wider iPad display may change the layout, visible area, and position of system prompts compared with iPhone, but you can still find features by their interface labels, such as Home, Add Server, Config, and Settings. Purchase eligibility and in-app details are separate. After redownloading, check whether your server list, Subscribe, and Config are ready; don’t assume all settings from another device will appear automatically.

Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing also includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing on your target device for system requirements, device compatibility, and universal purchase eligibility. The App Store is still the only way to get the app. This guide focuses on first-time authorization and steps for iPhone and iPad; follow the system prompts on other devices.

Purchase history / new device and reinstall

Restore using the original purchasing account

Check app redownloads and in-app data separately.

If you get a new device or delete the app, you can redownload Shadowrocket from your purchased items using the Apple ID you originally used to buy it, without paying again. Open the App Store, tap the account icon in the top-right corner, then open Purchased and find Shadowrocket. Depending on your system version, app purchases may appear under Apps or a similar entry. Follow the labels shown on your device.

  1. In Media & Purchases, confirm that the current account matches the one used for the original purchase.
  2. Open your App Store account and purchased items, then search for the full name, Shadowrocket.
  3. Verify the developer, official icon, and app ID, then tap the redownload option.
  4. After installation, open the app and check your server details, Subscribe, and Config.

If the product page still shows a price, don’t confirm another payment yet. Check whether the original purchase was made with another account you’ve used, whether the purchase is hidden, and whether the current storefront offers the app. Not finding it in Purchased right away doesn’t prove that you’ve lost purchase eligibility. On the other hand, remembering that you used the app isn’t proof of a purchase. Check the order and purchase records in the App Store.

After restoring the app, check your existing subscriptions, server details, and configuration separately. If they weren’t restored during device migration, re-import details you’ve saved yourself. If the original details have changed, get your own current information first. Connection passwords, subscription URLs, and App Store payment accounts are different kinds of information; don’t enter purchase credentials in Add Server connection fields.

How to check Family Sharing

Check the relevant notes on the App Store page and your Family Sharing group and purchase-sharing settings to see whether Family Sharing applies. If eligible, check the app in a family member’s purchase history. Availability depends on what the store and system show. Family purchase eligibility doesn’t provide the server details each user needs, or automatically sync in-app configurations with family members.

What your purchase covers / app and service

What a one-time purchase means

One-time app purchase ≠ network service plan

Shadowrocket is a paid app. The US storefront reference price is $2.99 as a one-time purchase, not a monthly app fee. Prices are shown in local currency on other storefronts; check the current App Store listing and purchase confirmation for taxes, the amount charged, and the final price. This reference price isn’t a substitute for the order total.

Your purchase gives you the right to use the app; it doesn’t include servers, subscription details, or network services. This site doesn’t provide, sell, or recommend nodes or subscriptions. You need your own subscription or server details to use the app. Check their validity, connection access, and maintenance separately from your app purchase record.

If the app is installed but still shows Not Connected or won’t connect, troubleshoot your configuration and connection rather than buying it again. First confirm your existing details are complete, then check the selected server, Global Routing, and Config. A successful app purchase only confirms the store transaction; it doesn’t prove that an external server is available right now.

App updates are delivered through the App Store and can be managed using your device’s automatic update settings. Check the store listing and installed app for feature changes or current system requirements. Updating the client doesn’t update Subscribe content; the two are managed separately and have different effects.

Purchase FAQ / troubleshoot by message

Download and restore FAQ

First distinguish storefront availability, purchase eligibility, device compatibility, and in-app connection issues. Then troubleshoot the relevant step.

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket in the App Store?
Shadowrocket isn’t available in the mainland China storefront. App Store listings depend on the country or region linked to your Apple ID. Check the account used for Media & Purchases and its region, then use the product link on this page to check availability. Your device language and physical location don’t determine your storefront.
The product page is visible, but the download won’t complete. What should I do?
Note the exact App Store message, then check your account and payment status, device compatibility, available storage, and network connection. Handle payment or account issues through the App Store account and purchase flow. In-app settings can’t change the outcome of a store purchase.
Do I have to pay again when I get a new iPhone?
Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, then find Shadowrocket under your App Store account’s purchased items to download it again at no extra cost. If a price appears, check the account under Media & Purchases and your purchase history before buying again.
Can I install it on my iPad if I bought it on my iPhone?
Yes. Shadowrocket is a universal purchase for iPhone and iPad. On your iPad, use the same Apple ID to find it in your App Store purchased items and download it again. Check the App Store listing for system requirements. After installation, check your subscription, server details, and Config.
Can I install Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?
The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing on your target device; system requirements and universal purchase eligibility are as shown on the App Store page. The App Store remains the only way to get the app.
The screenshots show the app in English. How should I follow along?
This page shows the English screenshots uploaded to the App Store. Match the original interface labels, such as Home, Global Routing, and Add Server. The installed app’s interface may vary. To verify the app, check the developer, official icon, and app ID rather than relying on the interface language.

For help checking the storefront and account, read the installation guide. If you’ve already installed the app, go to the setup guide to import your own details.
